A personal reflection before we step into 2026.

A personal reflection before we step into 2026.

As we come to the end of 2025, I wanted to take a moment to say thank you — for being here, for supporting Hank & Hera, and for engaging with this brand so thoughtfully over the past year.

This year has been a full one for many people, and in that way it feels honest rather than exceptional. For Hank & Hera, it’s been a year of growing clarity. We’ve passed the two-year mark, and with that has come a deeper understanding of what truly matters: the styles you return to, the values you respond to, and the role this brand plays in real, everyday lives.

At the heart of Hank & Hera is a belief that continues to guide every decision we make: rest is not a luxury. It’s a necessity. Not just sleep, but the moments that allow the body and mind to soften — changing at the end of the day, slow mornings, small rituals that create a sense of safety and calm. These moments aren’t indulgent. They’re foundational.

This year has asked me to engage with that philosophy in a very real way.
Alongside building the business, I’ve been undertaking IVF — a process that brings you into close relationship with your body, your nervous system, and your capacity to rest and recover. It has required careful attention to physiology, regulation, and care in ways that go far beyond theory.

What’s not lost on me is that Hank & Hera was created to support women through every stage of life — and now I find myself living one of those stages. Experiencing this personally has reinforced why this work matters. Not as a brand idea, but as something lived. The need for dignity, softness, and care doesn’t disappear when life is demanding — it becomes more important.

Over the past two years, together we’ve helped shift the conversation around sleepwear, particularly in the plus-size space, toward better fabrics, better fit, and greater respect for women’s bodies. Seeing that change take shape across the industry has been quietly affirming. It’s a reminder that thoughtful, values-led work has impact, even when it grows steadily rather than loudly.

As I look ahead to 2026, the word that feels right is Cultivate. Less rushing. Less forcing outcomes. More care for the foundations — the body, the work, the rhythms of life — so that whatever grows next has healthy soil to grow in.
For Hank & Hera, that means refining what already works, cementing the styles you truly love, and continuing to build with intention rather than urgency. We’ll also be introducing new fabrications we’ve been developing quietly behind the scenes for over a year now, which I’m excited to share with you when the time is right.

Hank & Hera will always be grounded in reality. In the in-between seasons. The moments that don’t make it into highlight reels. In the belief that softness is not weakness, and care is not something women need to earn.

Thank you for supporting this business, and for engaging with it so generously. As we move into the year ahead, I’d genuinely love to hear from you. Your feedback, experiences, and thoughts shape this brand more than you know — and I always want to listen.

With gratitude,
Philippa

Let this be the beginning of a calmer, more luxurious you.
